Skills Acquisition – “Learn & Thrive Empowerment Outreach”

Faith Sisters Global Mission hosted the Skills Acquisition – Learn & Thrive Empowerment Outreach on the 20th of September, 2025, at LEA Primary School in Mpape Community, Abuja. This life-changing initiative was designed to equip individuals, especially women and youths, with practical skills that open doors to self-reliance, creativity, and financial independence.

The outreach was a resounding success, with over 150 community members empowered through hands-on training sessions. Participants eagerly learned valuable crafts and trades, including:
• Soap making • Bonnet and scrunchies making • Bead earrings design • Ankara bangles and earrings • Ankara bags and clutches

In addition to the training, 39 members were blessed with startup kits to help them launch their businesses immediately and put their newly acquired skills into practice. This tangible support ensures that the knowledge gained translates into real economic opportunities.
Beyond skills acquisition, the outreach included preaching the Word of Jesus Christ, emphasizing transformation, hope, and purpose. Participants were encouraged to embrace faith as the foundation for personal growth, financial independence, and community impact. Many testified to renewed confidence, hope, and spiritual empowerment alongside the practical skills they acquired.
The atmosphere was filled with joy, hope, and determination as participants embraced the opportunity to “learn and thrive.” For many, it was not just a skills class but a life-transforming encounter sparking new dreams and igniting confidence to build a sustainable future.
At Faith Sisters, we believe that true empowerment comes from equipping people with tools, knowledge, and faith to create lasting impact in their families and communities. The Mpape outreach is a testament to this mission, and we remain committed to raising, training, and empowering more lives through our initiatives.
Together, we are building a community of faith, purpose, and empowerment one skill and one soul at a time.
